In 2025, the Leadership and Service Center at the University of South Carolina presented a development proposal to Steve Benjamin, Mayor of Columbia, SC, that would lead to the renaming of the Center. Steve served as the director of the White House Office of Public Engagement for the Biden administration, and also as one of the senior advisors to President Biden from April 1, 2023, to January 20, 2025.

In just one week, I was asked to create the collateral for the proposal and work with USC Printing Services to install the physical pieces in the space ahead of the presentation. We were able to meet this deadline, and the presentation of the collateral was very well received– indicated by Steve signing of a letter of intent not long after the presentation!
